Today is when I learn - or rather, attempt to learn - to ski.

It's been rather a wait for this day, and I've changed my mind so many times it's not even funny. I've gone from, "Okay, I'll learn to ski, to I don't want to learn to ski" and I've ran the whole gamut of emotions along the way. Now, I'm mostly nervous about the whole thing, but in a way, excited too. That, and hoping I can stay on my feet lol.

My partner has been skiing for 30 years and was a certified ski instructor for a good while, so rather than pay for unnecessary lessons, he's going to teach me himself. I've been warned that we're not a couple on the slopes, we're student and teacher lol, and that's probably just as well for the two of us.

The place we're going to is one that I enjoy visiting a lot in the Summer. We've hiked there a fair bit, but never skiied there before, and for me, well, I've never skiied anywhere before lol. This is all in the name of a vacation we're taking in 2 weeks time. Hopefilly, I won't suck that bad lol.
